On August 31, China Railway Group Limited (also known as CHINA RAILWAY) convened its 2026 interim results presentation through a hybrid format, combining both online and offline participation. The company's President and Executive Director, Zhao Dianlong, Independent Non-Executive Director Sun Lishi, and Chief Accountant Sun Cui were present at the meeting. Over 30 institutional investors, analysts, and individual investors from both domestic and international markets, representing firms such as Guoxin Development, CITIC Securities, CICC, Huatai Securities, Changjiang Securities, and GF Securities, took part in the session, which was moderated by Sun Cui.
Zhao Dianlong extended his sincere gratitude to the investors, analysts, and friends from various sectors who have consistently supported the company's growth. He outlined the prevailing industry environment, shared his outlook on the company's future strategic direction, and provided a comprehensive explanation of the key priorities for the latter half of the year. During the first half of 2026, despite navigating industry cyclical adjustments and market headwinds, the company remained focused on its core business while maintaining a strict risk management discipline. Supported by policies such as the construction of major national projects and the allocation of ultra-long-term special treasury bond funds, the company proactively seized market opportunities, securing new contracts worth 1,005.7 billion yuan. This marked the sixth consecutive year that first-half new orders surpassed the trillion-yuan threshold, underscoring the stability of its operational foundation.
The company's business structure has continued to improve, with emerging business segments seeing a 5.7% year-on-year increase in new orders, equipment manufacturing growing by 16.7%, and resource utilization surging by 50.8%. On the operational front, the company has anchored its strategy around the themes of "enhancing efficiency and creating value," focusing on the goals of "increasing cash flow, reducing leverage, and controlling risks." It has made concerted efforts to drive quality and efficiency improvements and adopt lean management practices, effectively mitigating the temporary pressures of the industry cycle. During the reporting period, the company achieved total operating revenue of 473.1 billion yuan and a net profit attributable to shareholders of 8.66 billion yuan.
During the interactive Q&A session, the management team provided detailed responses on topics of keen interest to investors, including the outlook for the construction industry, overseas business expansion, the performance of mineral resources operations, key tasks under the new round of state-owned enterprise reforms, and dividend distribution plans and policies. These clarifications effectively addressed market concerns.
