Sing Tao News Corporation Limited has disclosed a leadership transition in its corporate governance team, effective 29 May 2026.
Mr. Shum Ka Fai has resigned from three key roles: company secretary, authorised representative under Rule 3.05 of the Listing Rules, and authorised representative for the acceptance of service of process and notices in Hong Kong as stipulated under Rule 19.05(2) of the Listing Rules and Part 16 of the Companies Ordinance. The board confirmed that Mr. Shum’s departure involves no disagreement with directors and no issues requiring shareholder or Stock Exchange attention.
The board has appointed Mr. Lau Chun Yip to assume all three positions on the same effective date. Mr. Lau brings over 10 years of auditing, accounting, and financial management experience, including previous roles at an international accounting firm and several Hong Kong–listed companies. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from Hong Kong Baptist University and is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
The board expressed gratitude to Mr. Shum for his contributions and extended a welcome to Mr. Lau. The board composition remains unchanged, led by Co-Chairmen Mr. Kwok Ying Shing and Mr. Choi Karson Ka Tsan, Vice-Chairman and CEO Ms. Kwok Hiu Ting, and three independent non-executive directors.
