Prudential plc (02378) Announces Share Repurchases and Share Issuance Updates

Prudential plc (02378) released a Next Day Disclosure Return indicating multiple share repurchases and a small share issuance. As of 13 February 2026, the company reported approximately 2.54 billion ordinary shares in issue. Between 16 and 18 February 2026, it canceled around 0.57 million, 0.61 million, and 0.25 million shares repurchased at weighted average prices of GBP 11.16, GBP 10.61, and GBP 10.89 per share, respectively. In addition, it issued 1,357 new shares (0.00 million) at GBP 5.20 through the exercise of options under the Prudential Sharesave Plan 2023.

Following these transactions, the company’s issued share count stood at roughly 2.54 billion shares. Prudential plc also confirmed repurchases of 0.79 million shares on the London Stock Exchange at an aggregate transaction value of GBP 8.65 million, with all repurchased shares designated for cancellation. A total of about 0.54 million repurchased shares remain pending formal cancellation. According to the announcement, the moratorium period for any new share issuance extends up to 20 March 2026.
