According to a report by Semafor, citing three unnamed sources familiar with the matter, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is among the top contenders to be appointed as the "AI czar" in the Trump administration.
Bessent, who currently leads the Treasury Department, has been identified as a primary candidate for this newly emphasized position, which would oversee artificial intelligence policy coordination across the federal government.
