As spring returns to the land, Tianjin has swiftly shifted into a high-gear "action mode" following the Lunar New Year holiday. Across the city, efforts are concentrated on production lines, project restarts, agricultural activities, and efficient public services—all driven by a "get-it-done-now" attitude. With a sprint-from-the-start momentum, Tianjin is laying a solid foundation for high-quality development in the new year.

In the Xiqing Economic Development Zone, the northern production base of Genki Forest is bustling with activity. Warmth fills the air as machinery hums, robotic arms handle bottle preforms with precision, and high-speed sterile production lines operate at full capacity. Bottles of sparkling water and electrolyte drinks move through automated filling, labeling, coding, and packaging processes before being neatly stacked for shipment. Workers along the assembly line are energetic and coordinated, creating a vibrant production scene. As Genki Forest’s largest global production base, the facility quickly resumed operations after the holiday, with digital management systems ensuring traceability and control over every beverage produced. A company representative stated that upon full operation, the first two phases of the project are expected to achieve an annual output exceeding 1.5 billion bottles, with an annual production value surpassing 1 billion yuan, injecting new vitality into regional industrial upgrading.

Genki Forest’s rapid restart reflects the broader post-holiday recovery among Tianjin’s enterprises. Companies across various districts and sectors have steadily resumed operations, actively pursuing orders, innovation, and market expansion. At Tiandy Technologies in the Tianjin Binhai High-Tech Area, a full range of intelligent security products are rolling off production lines. Pre-holiday orders and new overseas contracts are being processed simultaneously, with full capacity reached immediately after reopening. While ensuring market supply, the company is accelerating the construction of its fifth-phase smart factory, aiming for breakthroughs in core technologies within the year. At Tianjin Pump & Machinery Group under Baoli Equipment Group in Beichen District, employees returned early to tackle key orders, including twin-screw pumps for an oil depot expansion in Shandong and marine pump sets for a European shipyard. The export of complete ship pump sets to Europe marks a significant breakthrough in the company’s international market presence. Sales Director Chai Rui emphasized the commitment to expanding global markets and establishing international sales and service platforms to showcase the strength of "Tianjin Manufacturing."

According to the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, as of the eighth day of the Lunar New Year, nearly 87% of Tianjin’s key industrial enterprises had resumed work, with full recovery expected by March 3. Government departments will enhance support for enterprises, ensuring smooth and orderly industrial operations in the first quarter. From smart manufacturing and security technology to precision components, Tianjin’s companies are leveraging intelligence and production to convert post-holiday momentum into accelerated high-quality development.

Major projects are also advancing rapidly. On the last day of February, Nine Dragons Paper’s two key projects—a 500,000-ton pulp production line and a 900,000-ton high-strength, smart, lightweight kraft paper machine—broke ground in Ninghe District. These projects, among the largest ongoing industrial initiatives in Tianjin, will revitalize 1,000 mu of idle land. The pulp production line will overcome raw material constraints, enabling the production of high-end packaging paper, with an expected annual output value of 7 billion yuan and tax contributions of 500 million yuan upon completion. The other project will install two of the world’s most advanced kraft paper machines, producing ultra-lightweight kraft and recycled paper, adding an estimated 3 billion yuan in annual output value and 300 million yuan in tax revenue. Vice President Hu Xiuzhu noted that the 4.5-billion-yuan investment will create 500 jobs and help establish a circular economy enterprise with a complete "pulp, paper, and box" industrial chain, boosting regional economic development.

Across Tianjin, key projects are gaining momentum. Tencent’s Tianjin High-Tech Cloud Data Center and the New Ziguang Automotive Electronics R&D and Smart Manufacturing Base resumed work on the eighth day of the Lunar New Year. The Tencent project aims to build a green, low-carbon, smart data center serving the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Meanwhile, the Tianjin section of the Jinwei High-Speed Railway has achieved full bridge connectivity, entering its final冲刺 phase. As part of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network, it will optimize Tianjin’s rail structure. By February 26, 276 ongoing projects and 81 newly started projects had resumed construction, forming a multi-point, area-wide advancement pattern.

The success of major projects is crucial to high-quality development. In 2026, Tianjin plans 824 key construction projects with a total investment of 1.4 trillion yuan and an annual planned investment of 202.192 billion yuan, along with 288 key reserve projects totaling 422.47 billion yuan. These large-scale, high-quality initiatives will inject strong momentum into Tianjin’s economic and social development.

In rural areas, spring plowing is in full swing. Tianjin is currently in the critical period for winter wheat regreening and spring wheat sowing, a golden window for summer grain harvest. In Wuqing District, known as the "granary of Tianjin," fields are gradually bustling with activity. In Douzhangzhuang Town, farmer Yue Wanpeng has begun sowing 1,700 acres of spring wheat. Using integrated fertilizer-seeding machines, three operators shuttle back and forth across the fields. Yue expressed optimism for the high-yield, disease-resistant "Jinqiang 11" variety, expecting a yield of around 1,000 jin per mu. Wuqing District has allocated 15,000 acres for spring wheat sowing, while 465,000 acres of winter wheat have safely overwintered and are expected to enter the regreening stage in early March.

In Binhai New District’s Zhongtang Town, seeders equipped with BeiDou navigation systems are precisely sowing wheat seeds. A local cooperative leader noted that this technology ensures straight, even sowing, increasing yield by 20 kilograms per mu. To enhance agricultural services, the Tianjin Agricultural Center has conducted on-site training and live online courses via the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Winter Wheat Spring Management Platform, training over 200,000 technicians and farmers and improving the adoption of key technologies. The municipal agricultural department has prepared 2,000 seeders to ensure orderly spring wheat planting across an estimated 250,000 acres.

Public services are also operating efficiently to secure a "strong start" to the year. In Baodi District, the government service office immediately resumed project support and approval processes after the holiday, providing warm and efficient services to enhance the business environment. Liu Xinghua, a project manager at Tianjin Huixin Semiconductor, completed procedures smoothly with the assistance of a "project companion," praising the streamlined approval process from project initiation to permit issuance. This "no-delay" efficiency is also evident in downtown Tianjin. During the Spring Festival travel rush, Tianjin Railway Station hosted a "Spring Breeze Delivers Jobs" recruitment fair, serving as the city’s first employment station built in a transportation hub. The station, backed by Chunhua Street, offers job opportunities and policy consultations to residents and travelers alike, earning the title of "first stop for employment services in Tianjin." On-site, over ten enterprises offered 300 positions, with many passengers stopping to inquire directly after disembarking. Smart query machines in the station allow job seekers to scan codes for instant access to policies and vacancies, making "job hunting right after arrival" a heartwarming feature of the travel season.

Recently, the Tianjin Municipal Government issued guidelines to promote the integrated development of "station, industry, and city," positioning the Tianjin Station area as a "vital economic zone along the Haihe River." Zhang Zhaosui, Party Secretary of Chunhua Street, emphasized leveraging the station’s advantages to drive industry, boost the urban economy, and attract talent, contributing to the district’s broader development goals.

From the roar of machinery at construction sites to the busy fields of spring plowing, and from efficient government services to the rapid progress of key projects, Tianjin is demonstrating commitment and action. The city is transforming early-year enthusiasm into tangible development momentum, writing a high-quality development chapter with practical efforts, and injecting robust energy into the construction of a modern socialist metropolis.
