消息称苹果将向MP Materials投资5亿美元，购买稀土产品并合资建厂
周二，美国唯一在运营的稀土企业MP Materials涨幅扩大，截至发稿涨超22%。据消息人士透露，苹果拟向MP Materials注资5亿美元。
根据协议，苹果将从MP Materials得州工厂采购美国本土生产的稀土磁体，并计划共建两座新工厂：位于德州沃斯堡的磁体制造基地，以及加州芒廷帕斯的电子废弃物回收中心，后者将把回收材料用于未来苹果产品的生产。
这一合作被视为特朗普政府的“重大胜利”——该政府一直将本土稀土开采视为国家安全的优先事项。一位白宫高级官员评价称，这份协议“对国家有利，对美国工人有利”。
就在几天前，美国国防部刚宣布向MP Materials投资4亿美元，旨在加强本土供应链，减少对中国的依赖。目前，中国占据全球约60%的关键矿产供应量，加工量更是高达90%。
