Elegance Optical posts HK$15.60 million segment profit for April-July 2026, debt slashed after HK$102.09 million loan waiver; trading remains suspended

Elegance Optical International Holdings Limited released a quarterly update covering 1 April–31 July 2026 while its shares remain suspended since 23 April 2026.

Operating performance • Eyewear trading: Completed 10 contracts worth HK$21.90 million, generating HK$6.40 million profit; the largest customer accounted for 37 % of segment revenue. • Film investment and distribution: Continued work on the “Battle of Penghu” project with Filmko Film Co., Ltd.; segment profit reached HK$1.00 million on a cumulative HK$20.00 million investment. • Liquor production and sales: Sold 68,040 bottles through four domestic distribution channels, delivering HK$8.20 million profit. Total unaudited segment profit for the four-month period amounted to HK$15.60 million.

Balance-sheet improvement As at 31 July 2026, cash and cash equivalents stood at HK$1.80 million (31 March 2026: HK$5.30 million). Total borrowings fell sharply to HK$15.40 million from HK$117.50 million after a shareholder waived a RMB90.00 million (HK$102.09 million) loan on 26 June 2026. Net current assets turned positive at HK$84.10 million versus a HK$38.40 million deficit three months earlier, providing greater financial flexibility.

Resumption roadmap To satisfy the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s resumption guidance: 1. Business scale: Management is strengthening the three core segments, expanding supplier networks and distribution channels, and negotiating additional eyewear and liquor framework agreements. 2. Board composition: Independent director requirements were met on 18 June 2026 with the appointment of Mr. Peng Yanming, bringing independent non-executive representation to 37.5 % of the Board. 3. Disclosure: Audited FY2026 results were published on 30 June 2026; quarterly operational updates and any material developments will continue to be released.
