根据国际能源署(IEA)执行干事法提赫·比罗尔透露，作为该机构紧急释放计划的一部分，美国承诺投放的石油储备量已超越所有其他成员国。数据显示，美国将以超过1.72亿桶的投放规模位居首位，日本以近8000万桶的贡献量紧随其后。这两个国家的释放总量占IEA成员国计划从紧急储备中释放的4.26亿桶石油的半数以上，此举旨在抑制持续高企的原油价格。
