China State Construction Development Holdings Limited (CSC Development) reported interim revenue of HK$3.05 billion for the six months ended 30 June 2026, down 8.5% year on year. Gross profit fell 57.2% to HK$251.75 million, while profit attributable to shareholders declined 65.5% to HK$133 million. Basic earnings per share dropped to HK5.91 cents from HK17.12 cents a year earlier.

Management attributed the earnings contraction mainly to slower project settlements, rising raw-material costs and Renminbi appreciation, which compressed margins in the core façade and general contracting segment. This segment generated HK$2.58 billion in revenue (-9.5% YoY) and HK$142 million in operating profit (-67.4% YoY). Operating management activities contributed HK$475 million in revenue (-2.9% YoY) and HK$74 million in operating profit (-6.6% YoY).

Cash and bank balances stood at HK$1.19 billion at end-June, versus HK$1.36 billion six months earlier. Total bank borrowings were HK$1.92 billion, leaving a net gearing ratio of 24.9%, compared with 21.9% at 31 December 2025. Unutilised banking facilities totalled HK$8.19 billion.

The board declared an interim dividend of HK1.8 cents per share, payable on 30 October 2026 to shareholders on record as of 18 September 2026. The register of members will be closed from 17–18 September 2026 for dividend entitlement purposes.

Looking ahead, the company will continue to focus on high-end façade contracting while accelerating expansion in building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) and exploring refurbishment demand for aging building envelopes. Management expects opportunities from Hong Kong’s Northern Metropolis plan, Macau’s entertainment projects, Greater Bay Area integration and Belt-and-Road markets, but notes that geopolitical tensions and raw-material costs remain key variables for second-half performance.
