On the morning of September 22nd, marking Synopsys' 30th anniversary in China, Ge Qun, Global Senior Vice President and Chairman & President of Synopsys China, shared that "Under the leadership of Synopsys President and CEO Sassine Ghazi, Synopsys successfully acquired Ansys, marking the company's strategic transformation from 'chips' to 'systems'."
"This transformation is our thoughtful move to lead in the new wave of intelligent systems, and we will once again actively shape the future," Ghazi pointed out. "When complex intelligent systems such as robots and autonomous vehicles become the mainstream of innovation, technology solutions in a single domain can no longer meet the demands. Only by connecting the full-chain capabilities from chips to systems can we create greater value for future technological development."
Ge Qun introduced Synopsys' leading technological breakthroughs in three key areas: system-level design, chip design upgrades, and AI agents.
System-level design: By integrating analog and chip design capabilities, achieving cross-domain insights in electronics, electrical, thermal, and mechanical aspects, providing full lifecycle optimization solutions for intelligent systems.
Chip technology upgrades: Leveraging EDA solutions and IP products, combined with multi-physics analysis technology, to solve complex problems such as power consumption, heat dissipation, and electromagnetic compatibility under advanced processes, accelerating chip development cycles.
AI Agent AgentEngineer™ technology: Taking the lead in making AI a core capability of modern chip design and continuously driving AI vertical applications across the entire EDA stack.
"The future of engineering lies in adopting a comprehensive, intelligently-driven, chip-to-system innovation approach," Ghazi concluded. "Synopsys is at the forefront of this 'Re-engineering Engineering' transformation."
