Ningbo has achieved significant milestones in its quality-driven city development strategy, with agricultural product qualification rates consistently exceeding 99% for multiple years and crop seed coverage surpassing 98%. The city recently held a progress meeting to highlight these accomplishments, including breaking Zhejiang Province's record by winning its first China Quality Award.

Underpinned by its "Brand-Quality-Standard+" integrated service system, Ningbo was recognized as a national model city for quality development by the State Council and ranked second in China's 2024 public service quality monitoring index.

In livelihood and safety sectors, Ningbo has strengthened full-chain regulatory services, maintaining stable evaluation-based inspection pass rates above 99% for agricultural and food products while improving industrial product quality. Digital tracking systems like "Zhejiang Food Chain" ensure 97.8% traceability of key agricultural products, guaranteeing source quality control.

For enterprises, Ningbo implemented a quality leadership program, guiding 1,334 companies to adopt performance excellence models and establishing a four-tier government quality award cultivation system. The city now boasts 8 China Quality Awards (including nominations) and 14 Zhejiang Provincial Quality Awards, with Ningbo-Zhoushan Port Group securing Zhejiang’s historic first national honor.

Industrial quality ecosystems continue to improve, with digital economy, high-end equipment, and green petrochemical clusters driving growth—modern industrial clusters now contribute 82.5% of large-scale industrial added value. Agricultural modernization excels, as Ningbo’s primary industry output leads Zhejiang for seven consecutive years, supported by pioneering seed innovation. The service sector also strengthens, earning Ningbo a national SME digital transformation pilot city designation.

These efforts tangibly benefit urban development and residents. City functionality advances through major district projects and urban village renewals, while Ningbo’s business environment remains top-tier nationally for five years. Public services like education and elderly care expand, and ecological governance sustains progress—six key pollutant metrics meet national standards for eight years, earning Ningbo a provincial four-star "Zero-Waste City" title.

Moving forward, Ningbo will outline high-standard plans for its 15th Five-Year quality development strategy to deepen transformative reforms.
