Wuxi has officially launched two significant housing support policies aimed at assisting professionals and families with housing needs. The first policy, titled "Notice on Providing Housing Subsidies to Support Various Talents in Wuxi," focuses on offering financial aid to qualified individuals. The second, "Notice on Supporting Basic Housing Needs and Improving Living Conditions for Urban Families," targets households seeking to upgrade their housing situations.

The new talent subsidy policy features increased financial support, with subsidies issued as a one-time payment that can be applied toward down payments. Coverage extends from vocational college graduates to doctoral degree holders, with no restrictions on property type—both pre-sale and completed units from state-owned or private developers are eligible. Corporate group purchases are also encouraged.

Eligibility requires applicants to be under 40 years old, hold at least a vocational college diploma or equivalent professional certification, have three months of social security contributions in Wuxi, and own no property in the urban area. Subsidy amounts range from RMB 80,000 for vocational graduates to RMB 400,000 for doctoral degree holders. Applications must be submitted by December 31, 2026.

The family housing support policy provides up to RMB 200,000 for purchasing completed new homes, with the requirement that funds be repaid in full if the property is sold or replaced. Applicants must have no property or one unit under 75 square meters in Wuxi’s urban area. Non-local applicants need to show three months of social security or residency documentation.

Both policies are parallel offerings—each household may only benefit from one. Implementation details, including application procedures and eligible property lists, will be updated regularly. The policies remain effective until the end of 2026.
