Since its launch on February 24th, the "Health Family Guardian Fund" established by KE Holdings Inc. co-founders Peng Yongdong and Shan Yigang through stock donations has been operational for six months. As of August 24th, the fund has disbursed a total of 6.76 million yuan to 161 service provider families across 56 cities nationwide.

Among the recipients, five brokers have received cumulative payouts exceeding 200,000 yuan, while 25 other service providers have each received over 100,000 yuan. The remaining 131 beneficiaries, including store owners, regional managers, business circle managers, painters, and masons, have each received 20,000 yuan in critical illness assistance.

Notably, 101 of the fund's beneficiaries are also members of KE Holdings' "Green Plan," with 11 service providers having received combined support from both programs, totaling 809,414 yuan in cumulative payouts to date.

Alongside disclosing the fund's progress, KE Holdings has compiled a health report for residential service industry workers based on data from both the Green Plan and the Health Family Guardian Fund, aiming to raise awareness about health concerns among these professionals. The data reveals that service providers encounter as many as 449 different types of illnesses, characterized by "a few high-incidence conditions and many scattered ones." Malignant tumors account for nearly 20% of all disease-related claims, with thyroid cancer, breast cancer, acute myocardial infarction, liver cancer, and cerebral hemorrhage ranking as the top five critical illnesses by claim volume.

Behind these statistics lies the real health situation facing service workers, which was the original motivation for establishing the fund. The Health Family Guardian Fund, co-created by co-founders Peng Yongdong and Shan Yigang on February 24th this year, automatically covers eligible service providers without requiring enrollment or fees, taking effect after six months of employment. In April 2025 and February 2026, the two co-founders announced donations of 19 million shares to support medical and educational needs for residential service industry workers and their families, establishing this initiative.

The Health Family Guardian Fund comprises three sub-programs. The "Life Emergency Fund" provides rapid assistance for sudden critical illness diagnoses, with beneficiaries able to receive 20,000 yuan within two working days of submitting complete documentation. Unlike traditional insurance reimbursement models, this emergency fund focuses on "life rescue," delivering timely support to families in crisis.

The other two components offer safety nets for special circumstances: the "Family Comfort Assistance Fund" provides a one-time payment of 100,000 yuan to service providers who suffer complete loss of working capacity or death, while the "Children's Education Fund" offers eligible beneficiaries one-time educational support ranging from 20,000 to 100,000 yuan depending on their children's school stage, helping families navigate difficult periods.

The Health Family Guardian Fund benefits more than 500,000 residential service industry workers, including qualified brand owners, store owners, brokers, cleaners, and maintenance personnel. Meanwhile, the Green Plan, introduced by KE Holdings in 2008, provides disease and accident protection for service providers and their family members, with a cumulative coverage cap of 2 million yuan per recipient. The two programs are mutually compatible, allowing for stacked claims.
