WeRide-W Shares Surge Over 4% in Morning Session as CICC Maintains "Buy" Rating

WeRide-W (00800) saw its stock price rise more than 5% in early trading. As of the time of writing, the shares are up 4.20%, currently trading at HK$20.84, with a turnover of HK$63.678 million.

The company recently announced two strategic partnerships. WeRide has entered into a global strategic collaboration with Lenovo, with plans to deploy 200,000 autonomous vehicles, including Robotaxis, worldwide over the next five years. Additionally, WeRide has formed a "chip + algorithm" strategic partnership with Chipone Technology to promote the large-scale implementation of advanced driver-assistance solutions.

CICC previously released a research report stating that WeRide is a globally leading L4 autonomous driving technology company, with operations spanning over 40 cities across 12 countries. The company plans to deploy 2,600 Robotaxis globally by the end of 2026. WeRide's board has authorized a $100 million share repurchase program, demonstrating management's confidence in the company's long-term value, and maintains a "Buy" rating.
