On Wednesday, Kingsoft Cloud Holdings Ltd (KC.US) shares jumped more than 11% to $12.07, marking a significant intraday gain.
The rally followed the company's release of its second-quarter earnings report on August 19, which showcased robust growth momentum across its business segments.
According to the financial results, the company recorded quarterly revenue of 3.07 billion yuan, setting a new all-time high for a single quarter and representing a year-over-year increase of 30.8%.
Within the quarter, public cloud services generated 2.36 billion yuan in revenue, up 45.1% compared to the same period last year. Notably, AI cloud billings reached 1.33 billion yuan, surging 82% year-over-year and accounting for 56% of total public cloud revenue.
Meanwhile, industry cloud revenue contributed 710 million yuan during the quarter. The adjusted gross margin improved to 15.4%, up 2.4 percentage points sequentially, while the adjusted operating profit margin reached 4.0%, marking another quarter of profitability at the operating level.
Revenue from the Xiaomi and Kingsoft ecosystem totaled 810 million yuan in the quarter, reflecting a 28.2% increase year-over-year and representing 26.2% of total revenue. As ecosystem companies continue to intensify their focus on AI-related initiatives, the company is well-positioned to capture additional business growth opportunities moving forward.
