CGN New Energy Holdings Co., Ltd. (01811) released an unaudited trading update for February 2026 on 10 March 2026.
For February, consolidated power generation reached 1,452.8 GWh, a 1.7% year-on-year decline. The contraction was driven by: • PRC wind projects: 769.6 GWh (-3.7% YoY) • PRC hydro project: 7.6 GWh (-11.6% YoY) amid lower water inflow in Guangxi • Korea projects: 487.2 GWh (-1.8% YoY)
The decrease was partially offset by a 21.7% surge in PRC solar output to 188.4 GWh as additional capacity came on line.
Cumulatively for the first two months of 2026, total generation rose 3.2% year-on-year to 3,100.6 GWh. Key movements included: • PRC solar: 410.4 GWh, up 30.0% • PRC gas-fired projects: 10.4 GWh, up 1,200.0% from a low base • Korea projects: 1,024.5 GWh, up 10.2%
These gains outweighed declines in PRC wind (-3.3%) and hydro (-4.5%).
