Q TECH (01478) announced that in January 2026, the sales volume of mobile phone camera modules reached 41.48 million units, representing a month-on-month decrease of 3.7% but a year-on-year increase of 19.5%. The total sales volume of camera modules amounted to 44.07 million units, down 4.1% compared to the previous month but up 22.8% compared to the same period last year. Fingerprint recognition module sales totaled 19.74 million units, increasing by 10% month-on-month and 18.4% year-on-year.
The year-on-year growth in camera module sales was primarily driven by rising demand from overseas customers and an expanding market share. Additionally, sales of camera modules used in other sectors continued to improve, with significant year-on-year growth in modules applied in the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart automotive fields. The increase in fingerprint recognition module sales, both year-on-year and month-on-month, was mainly attributed to the growing adoption of ultrasonic fingerprint recognition modules and the influence of customer project cycles.
