Xi'an Airport is once again experiencing a surge in passenger traffic during the National Day holiday, with an estimated total of 6,967 flight movements, 1.05 million passengers handled, and 6,040 tonnes of cargo and mail secured.

Domestic travelers are mainly heading to Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, while popular international and regional destinations include Seoul, Singapore, and Tashkent.

Among these travelers, the proportions of group tours, family trips, and visits to hometowns are relatively high, and the airport's passenger flow shows a pattern of concentrated departures before the holiday, stable operations during the holiday, and orderly returns afterward.

In line with the travel characteristics of the holiday period, Xi'an Airport has carefully built a comprehensive service support system and launched a series of convenient rainbow services.

Airport inquiry staff wearing pink vests move along passenger routes, proactively answering questions and helping travelers move smoothly.

The terminals are equipped with free lockers, shuttle buses, and shower rooms to help passengers solve travel-related problems.

There are also multiple mother-and-baby rooms, mother-and-baby waiting lounges, and children's play areas and other recreational facilities, providing a more family-friendly travel environment for parents and children.

In response to the large number of flights, surging passenger flow, and special weather conditions during the holiday, Xi'an Airport conducts dynamic real-time assessments, uses AI plus manual intervention, allocates resources in advance, strengthens emergency command and dispatch, and continuously improves the efficiency of check-in and security screening processes.

To enhance travel convenience for group passengers, starting September 28, Xi'an Airport launched a near-terminal boarding reservation service for T3 tour buses, allowing reservation groups to use exclusive parking spaces at the integrated transportation hub and wait indoors nearby.

To create a festive space full of atmosphere, Xi'an Airport not only arranged various landscape displays but also held themed flash mobs at Terminal 5, with children's chorus, Tang Dynasty classical dance, ribbon dragon acrobatics, and Qinqiang opera performances staged in turn, enriching passengers' waiting time.
