ORIENTAL PAY issues profit warning: FY2025/26 revenue to fall 56.8%, loss capped at HK$34.00 million

Oriental Payment Group Holdings Limited (ORIENTAL PAY) has alerted shareholders to a significant downturn for the year ended 31 March 2026 (FY2025/26). Management’s preliminary review indicates revenue will contract to approximately HK$15.20 million, a 56.8% drop from HK$35.10 million recorded a year earlier.

Despite deep revenue pressure, the Group anticipates narrowing its net loss attributable to equity holders slightly to no more than HK$34.00 million, versus HK$34.20 million in FY2024/25. The company attributes the revenue plunge to a sharp decline in Chinese tourist arrivals to Thailand, driven by safety concerns stemming from kidnapping incidents and a significant earthquake in late March 2025. These events curtailed e-payment transaction volumes, the Group’s core business driver.

Cost-side adjustments provided partial relief. General administrative, selling and distribution expenses fell on the back of tighter cost controls and the phased termination of a loss-making project. However, the benefits were partly offset by higher finance costs during the period.

ORIENTAL PAY is finalising its audited results, scheduled for release on 25 June 2026. The current figures are based on unaudited management accounts and remain subject to review. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution in dealing in the company’s shares.
