Prudential plc (HKEX: 2378) Announces Effective Date for Sir Douglas Flint’s Appointment

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, and the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited have issued a statement disclaiming responsibility for the contents of the recent announcement made by Prudential plc.

Prudential plc stated on 13 February 2026 that Sir Douglas Flint's appointment as a Non-Executive Director and Chair-Designate will become effective on 4 March 2026. On that date, he will join both the Nomination & Governance and Remuneration Committees. According to the announcement, Sir Douglas is set to succeed Shriti Vadera following the Company’s Annual General Meeting on 28 May 2026, at which point she will retire from the Board after six years of service.

The announcement confirms that Sir Douglas Flint holds 20,000 shares in Prudential plc as of the date of release. Apart from this information, there are no other changes requiring disclosure under Rule 13.51(2) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. Prudential plc reiterated that it is not affiliated with Prudential Financial, Inc. or with The Prudential Assurance Company Limited, which is a subsidiary of M&G plc.
