OCT (Asia) receives RMB1.33 billion first-tranche payment for Hefei land resumption; RMB395 million balance due within two years

Overseas Chinese Town (Asia) Holdings Limited (OCT (Asia)) disclosed an update on the disposal of several land parcels in Hefei via government-led land resumption.

On 17 June 2026, OCT (Asia)’s subsidiary Hefei OCT Industry signed the Hefei Agreements with Hefei Land Reserve Center, confirming a total compensation price of RMB1.73 billion for the Hefei Land Resumption. Following receipt of funds from special-purpose bonds, the first tranche of RMB1.33 billion was remitted to Hefei OCT Industry on 24 June 2026. The remaining RMB395 million is scheduled for settlement within 90 days after completion of launching and delivery procedures, which is expected to occur within two years of the agreement date.

The transaction constitutes a very substantial disposal under Chapter 14 of the Hong Kong Listing Rules and was approved by shareholders on 13 May 2026. OCT (Asia) noted that Hefei Huanchao has not yet entered into the Chaohu Agreement and that the proposed disposals may or may not proceed. Investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities.

The board currently comprises seven directors, including three executive directors (Liu Yu, Wang Jianwen, Qi Jianrong), one non-executive director (Yang Guobin) and three independent non-executive directors (Wong Wai Ling, Lam Sing Kwong Simon, Chu Wing Yiu).
