U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday said he had signed an executive order directing his administration to permit an access road to the Ambler mining district in Alaska to unlock domestic supplies of copper and other minerals.

The White House also announced a $35.6 million investment in Canada's Trilogy Metals, one of the region's possible developers. The investment makes the U.S. government a 10% shareholder in the company and includes warrants to purchase an additional 7.5% stake.

Trilogy Metals shares soared 218.7% in overnight trading.

Constellation, the owner of the Corona and Modelo Especial brands in the US, reported better-than-expected results for its fiscal second quarter, citing robust beer and wine sales. The shares gained 3.5% in overnight trading.

AMD shares gained another 2.3% in overnight trading, after soaring 23.7% on Monday. AMD will supply artificial intelligence chips to OpenAI in a multi-year deal that would bring in tens of billions of dollars in annual revenue and give the ChatGPT creator the option to buy up to roughly 10% of the chipmaker.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has been probing marketing platform AppLovin’s data-collection practices, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Shares of the company tumbled 14% on Monday, and dropped another 2.5% in overnight trading.
