ANHUI EXPRESSWAY Shares Surge Nearly 6% to Record High After Investing 425 Million Yuan to Increase Stake in Shenzhen Expressway

ANHUI EXPRESSWAY (00995) rose nearly 6%, reaching a high of HK$16.34 to set a new historical peak. At the time of writing, the stock was up 4.86% at HK$16.18, with a turnover of HK$70.317 million. On March 31, the company announced that between March 31, 2025, and March 30, 2026, it purchased a total of 24.2627 million Shenzhen Expressway A-shares and 31.01 million Shenzhen Expressway H-shares on the market, with a total investment of 429 million yuan. This increased its stake in Shenzhen Expressway to 3.68%. Dongxing Securities noted that the company's investment activity has significantly increased in 2025. In its core expressway business, it completed the acquisition of Fuzhou and Sixu Expressways, successfully won bids for three new projects—S62 Bozhou-Dangshan Expressway, S98 Quanlu Expressway Anhui Section, and S19 Huai-Tong Expressway Shutong Section—and commenced the Gaojie Expressway expansion project. Regarding equity investments, the company has taken a stake in Shenzhen Expressway, becoming one of its top ten shareholders, and made a strategic investment in Shandong Hi-Speed, becoming its third-largest shareholder. The securities firm indicated that the acquisition of the Shandong Hi-Speed stake is expected to enhance investment returns.
