Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad shareholders pass all resolutions at 47th AGM

Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad (MSC) said that shareholders approved every resolution tabled at the company’s 47th Annual General Meeting held on May, 29 2026 at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur.

All seven resolutions were carried by poll, with USearch Corporate Service Sdn Bhd acting as independent scrutineer. Key outcomes include:

• A final single-tier dividend of RM0.04 per share for the financial year ended Dec, 31 2025 was endorsed with 99.99% of votes in favour.

• Directors’ fees and benefits of up to RM0.86 million for the period from May, 30 2026 until the next AGM were backed by 99.99% of votes.

• The re-elections of directors Ms. Chew Gek Khim, Datuk Kamaruddin Bin Taib and Dato' Seri Paduka (TPr.) Dr. Maimunah Binti Mohd Sharif received at least 99.78% shareholder support.

• Ernst & Young PLT was re-appointed as external auditor with 99.90% approval.

• An authority for directors to allot and issue shares under Sections 75 and 76 of the Companies Act 2016 gained 97.20% support.

The company released detailed polling figures in an accompanying filing on May, 29 2026.
