On February 11th, the highly anticipated Lianhuo Expressway Luoyang Service Area reopened with a new theme, "Savor the National Beauty, Recall the Divine Capital," establishing itself as the nation's first service area dedicated to Tang Dynasty culture. This site deeply integrates architecture mimicking the Tang imperial city, the living heritage of intangible cultural assets, modern urban trends, and green energy replenishment, creating a cultural oasis that allows travelers to "appreciate the charm of the Sui and Tang dynasties without entering Luoyang city." It offers drivers and passengers a new travel experience spanning a thousand years.
Upon entering the service area, visitors are immediately transported to the imperial city of the Sui and Tang eras. The main complex, modeled after the Luoyang imperial city, features upturned eaves and arched gates adorned with golden peony patterns, exuding a royal aura. The main "Dingding Gate" is flanked by the "Yongtong Gate" and "Houzai Gate," with winding corridors and welcoming pavilions forming natural photo spots. The entire structure resembles a giant traditional Chinese penjing, full of artistic conception. Scheduled daily performances, including Tang Dynasty music and dances like "Song of the Rainbow Skirt" and excerpts from "The Goddess of the Luo River," as well as selections from Henan opera, allow travelers to immerse themselves in traditional culture during their breaks.
Inside the main building, every step offers a new scene. The central hall replicates the atmosphere of a royal court, with layered, colorful auspicious clouds on the ceiling creating an interplay of light and shadow. Tang tri-colored glazed pottery and peony culture reflect each other's brilliance, with timeless elegance flowing between the brackets and eaves. A "Dragon Throne" photo spot allows visitors to experience the feeling of ruling the empire while wearing Hanfu. The "Driver's Home" is fully equipped with showers and laundry facilities, showcasing thoughtful service details. The mother-and-child room is decorated with a peony theme and includes a baby care area equipped with a changing table, bottle warmer, air purifier, and emergency supplies. The "Food Court" gathers local delicacies from brands like Uncle Piao, ChaBaiDao, Cotti Coffee, as well as local specialties such as Dao Kou boiled chicken, Juewei duck neck, braised noodles, and beef soup. A souvenir zone features peony-themed cultural creations and local products like Yanshi silver strips, enabling travelers to "taste Luoyang with their tongues and take its culture away with their fingertips."
The upgraded service area is equipped with 62 charging stations, including various power types like 500KW superchargers, 480KW superchargers, and 150KW fast chargers, comprehensively meeting the needs of different vehicle models and achieving high-efficiency charging described as "one kilometer per second." The charging area is thoughtfully outfitted with shaded canopies, rest benches, and offers complimentary services like drinking water and mobile phone charging ports, with staff providing assistance throughout the process to make recharging worry-free and efficient.
As another cultural landmark following the "Song Culture" service area in Kaifeng, developed by the Henan Communications Investment Group, the revitalization of the Luoyang Service Area not only continues the innovative concept of "empowering travel with culture" but also highlights the state-owned enterprise's commitment to serving public welfare. From the "Charm of Bianliang" to the "Grandeur of the Sui and Tang," the Group consistently focuses on enhancing the public's travel experience. By integrating local cultural characteristics and adhering to the principles of "unique character for each area" and the "integration of transportation with tourism and culture," it deepens its efforts in the transportation service sector, ensuring every journey becomes a delightful experience of appreciating Central Plains culture and sharing in the warmth of public service.
