According to media reports, Qi Junyuan, the head of ByteDance's Doubao PC product, has left the company. Sources indicate that Qi currently has no immediate plans to start his own business and may take time to evaluate opportunities or transition to another company.

Qi Junyuan is a well-known post-90s entrepreneur who studied Information Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2011, while still an undergraduate, he founded Teambition, an enterprise collaboration software. Under his leadership, the company secured Pre-A to Series A funding between 2013 and 2014, followed by a strategic investment from Tencent in 2016. Alibaba acquired Teambition for $100 million in 2019, after which Qi joined Alibaba as the head of Alibaba Cloud Drive (P9), overseeing its development and official launch in 2021.

In January 2023, Qi joined ByteDance as Vice President of Feishu Products, reporting directly to CEO Xie Xin. By January 2024, he transitioned to Flow to lead the Doubao PC product division.

ByteDance has yet to respond to requests for comment on the matter.
