The "Red Leadership, Silver Age Escort" autonomous fund project was launched and the "Silver Age Think Tank" was officially established at Hongqiao Airport New Village in Chengjiaqiao Sub-district on July 15 at the East Hongqiao Center. This initiative brings together multiple forces to collaboratively build a better community.
This year, Hongqiao Airport New Village will implement the "Neighborhood Leadership, Shared Creation Season" plan. Centered around a community participatory museum, the project aims to create an open-air civil aviation cultural community without walls. Through a co-creation research workshop for a "Community Memory Bank," the plan will systematically excavate, organize, and archive civil aviation history and resident stories to establish a standardized community memory repository. The initiative seeks to revitalize airport historical memories, cultivate resident self-governance teams, promote space beautification, cultural co-creation, and neighborhood co-governance, ultimately building a warm, culturally rich, and distinctive beautiful homeland.
"Our Airport New Village was built relying on the civil aviation industry. It has grown alongside civil aviation culture and carries its memories and spirit," said Song Jie, Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch of Hongqiao Airport New Village Residential Area. "As time passes, historical stories about the airport become increasingly precious. We hope that by establishing a 'Community Memory Bank,' we can unearth the civil aviation memories of the older generation, allowing airport culture to find new life through inheritance."
To deepen Party-building guidance in property management, the General Party Branch of Hongqiao Airport New Village Residential Area leverages the autonomous fund project to tap into the resources of the aviation "silver age" think tank. It collaborates with units within the area to establish a mechanism for joint construction, consultation, and governance, creating a new model of community governance with diverse participation. The event also marked the launch of the autonomous fund project and the formation of the "Silver Age Think Tank," injecting long-term professional strength into the airport community.
Members of the "Silver Age Think Tank" are both residents and core community volunteers of Hongqiao Airport New Village, as well as seniors who dedicated their youth and wisdom to the aviation industry. Moving forward, these silver-aged backbone members will transform into public sentiment collectors, conflict mediators, airport volunteer promoters, and advisors for community development. They will empower grassroots governance with the wisdom of their silver years, enhancing the warm character of the airport community.
"The community residents are now more diverse. We also hope that by sharing stories of the airport's history, we can help more people understand and develop a passion for civil aviation, building a common emotional bond for everyone," the members expressed.
To further deepen enterprise-community collaboration and bridge the chain of coordinated governance between property management and the residential area, the General Party Branch of Hongqiao Airport New Village Residential Area has entered into a Party-building cooperation agreement with the General Party Branch of Shanghai China Eastern Airlines Property Co., Ltd. Simultaneously, to deeply embed the spirit of the rule of law into the entire chain of property services, Ruifu Law Firm, China Eastern Airlines Property, Hongqiao Airport New Village Residential Area, and the Homeowners' Committee have reached a four-party cooperation agreement. A four-party linkage mechanism, with property management as the main force, the rule of law as the safeguard, the neighborhood committee as support, and the homeowners' committee as supervision, has now taken root in the community.
"Going forward, we will focus on the daily management of property services, establishing a regularized legal collaboration mechanism. This will enable property enterprises to provide services with more confidence and better methodology within the legal framework, and also ensure that the protection of residents' rights and interests proceeds steadily and far on the track of the rule of law," said Lawyer Shao Jianbo from Ruifu Law Firm.
