At the 2026 Yunqi Conference this afternoon, Qianwen Office's CEO Chen Yusen introduced the company's latest AI hardware, the QwenNote A2. Positioned as an "AI Agent pocket assistant," this device boldly champions the philosophy of "true AI, no recording" to directly address privacy anxieties commonly linked with conventional AI recording gadgets. The QwenNote A2 revolutionizes privacy protection with standout features including a discreet indicator light that signals when the device is active, ensuring clear communication that it is only taking notes rather than recording. It also offers single-session transcription, immediate post-conversion deletion, physical removal of original audio files, and secure data transmission. According to the on-site presentation, the device does not record by default; once a conversation ends, the voice data undergoes a single text transcription in the cloud, after which the original recording is permanently erased, fundamentally eliminating user concerns about privacy.

From a hardware standpoint, the QwenNote A2 achieves an ultra-lightweight design at just 67 grams for effortless portability. It features a six-microphone array for precise audio capture and supports a standalone online and conversational Agent, enabling independent operation without requiring a smartphone. As a companion device for Qianwen Office, it enables one-touch conversion of offline interactions into cloud-based tasks. For instance, after a sales representative completes a client visit, they can press a button to send a voice command, instantly syncing the conversation to the cloud-based Qianwen Office. The system then automatically generates presentations or extracts crucial information, delivering on the promise of "AI that truly gets work done."

"Reflecting on the past, our previous generation product, the DingTalk A1, achieved the top sales position in China, selling several hundred thousand units. This provides a very solid foundation," Chen Yusen noted. He believes that while AI recording devices occupy a niche segment, AI note-taking or AI meeting intelligence products represent a category with boundless potential, and such compact devices could realistically reach "sales of ten million units" in the future.
