PUTIAN COMM (01720) shares soared more than 36%, trading at HK$0.415 as of the latest update, with a turnover of HK$3.0936 million.

The company issued a positive profit alert, projecting a net profit attributable to shareholders of approximately RMB 40 million to RMB 45 million for the six months ending June 30, 2026. This represents a surge of about 410% to 480% compared to the RMB 7.8 million reported in the same period of 2025, primarily due to increased sales revenue from fiber optic cables and optical fibers.

PUTIAN COMM attributed the strong performance to the accelerated global deployment of AI computing infrastructure, which has driven a sharp rise in demand for fiber optic cables and optical fibers in both domestic and international markets.
