China Automobile Dealers Association: Bus Sales (Wholesale) Reached 44,700 Units in August, Up 11.63% Year-on-Year

On September 22, the China Automobile Dealers Association released its monthly analysis report on bus sales (wholesale) for August 2025. Bus sales (wholesale) in August 2025 totaled 44,700 units, representing a year-on-year increase of 11.63% and a month-on-month increase of 7.43%. Cumulative sales (wholesale) for January-August reached 351,500 units, up 6.48% year-on-year.

Bus sales (wholesale) in August 2025 stood at 44,700 units, rising 11.63% year-on-year and 7.43% month-on-month. The January-August cumulative sales (wholesale) totaled 351,500 units, marking a 6.48% year-on-year increase. Among the categories, large buses recorded monthly sales of 5,800 units with cumulative sales of 43,100 units; medium buses achieved monthly sales of 4,200 units with cumulative sales of 27,700 units; and light buses posted monthly sales of 34,700 units with cumulative sales of 280,700 units.

For the month, the top 5 large bus sales (wholesale) companies accounted for 73.54% market share, ranking in order: Yutong Bus Co.,Ltd. (600066.SH), Zhongtong Bus Holding Co.,Ltd. (000957.SZ), Suzhou Golden Dragon, Xiamen Golden Dragon, and Golden Travel Bus. For the January-August period, the top 5 large bus cumulative sales (wholesale) companies held 72.10% market share, ranking as follows: Yutong Bus Co.,Ltd., Zhongtong Bus Holding Co.,Ltd., Xiamen Golden Dragon, Suzhou Golden Dragon, and Golden Travel Bus.

In medium buses, the top 5 monthly sales (wholesale) companies captured 65.83% market share, with the following ranking: Yutong Bus Co.,Ltd., Beiqi Foton Motor Co.,Ltd. (600166.SH), Xiamen Golden Dragon, Suzhou Golden Dragon, and Zhongtong Bus Holding Co.,Ltd. For the January-August cumulative period, the top 5 medium bus sales (wholesale) companies represented 60.50% market share, ranking in order: Yutong Bus Co.,Ltd., Xiamen Golden Dragon, DONGFENG GROUP (00489), Zhongtong Bus Holding Co.,Ltd., and Beiqi Foton Motor Co.,Ltd.

For light buses, the top 5 monthly sales (wholesale) companies held 84.16% market share, with the following ranking: Chongqing Changan Automobile Company Limited (000625.SZ), SAIC Maxus, Jiangling Motors Corporation,Ltd. (000550.SZ), Beiqi Foton Motor Co.,Ltd., and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Corp.,Ltd. (600418.SH). The January-August cumulative top 5 light bus sales (wholesale) companies accounted for 85.43% market share, ranking as follows: Chongqing Changan Automobile Company Limited, Jiangling Motors Corporation,Ltd., SAIC Maxus, Beiqi Foton Motor Co.,Ltd., and Iveco.
