10月23日，港股黄金股延续跌势，中国白银集团跌超6%，招金矿业、山东黄金、紫金黄金国际、灵宝黄金、中国黄金国际、潼关黄金跌超3%，赤峰黄金、紫金矿业、珠峰黄金跌超2%。
消息上，亚市早盘金价延续回调，现货黄金向下触及4070美元/盎司，跌0.77%；现货白银走低1%，现报47.96美元/盎司。苏克敦金融研究团队在评论中表示，投资者一直在对上周的投机性飙升进行部分平仓。该团队表示，贵金属价格的回落可能反映了获利了结和避险资金流的减少，而不是美国国债收益率的走势。
国际黄金白银价格大跌，不少黄金销售商表示，金价波动幅度之大让他们感到震惊。一家黄金首饰店铺的销售经理告诉记者，由于金价出现回调，店里今天的成交量较近期有所减少。与此同时，这两天的白银价格也有回调，部分店主表示，前些日子很多白银产品都售罄了，暴跌后，目前这类产品无人问津。此外，黄金价格下调也导致近期活跃的黄金回收市场出现降温。
