On the morning of October 10th, at Meitu's 17th anniversary celebration, Meitu founder Wu Xinhong delivered a speech and shared for the first time the story behind the creation of RoboNeo.
Over the past two months, RoboNeo, launched by MEITU, has attracted significant market attention. The app surpassed one million monthly active users (MAU) in its first month and entered the top 10 of app store category rankings in dozens of countries.
Discussing RoboNeo's breakthrough success, Wu Xinhong attributed it to the company's internal "anti-inertia" initiatives, including demand co-creation, streamlined meetings with shortened decision-making processes, and leveraging AI tools - approaches commonly used by startup companies.
Wu Xinhong explained that advanced "AI-native organizations," despite having extremely small team sizes, can rapidly complete work that previously required multiple functions and processes through high-frequency learning and application of various cutting-edge AI tools. In the AI era, all MEITU employees should actively embrace AI productivity tools, moving toward a future where "everyone is a multi-skilled professional," and even striving for the goal of "one person equals an entire team."
According to reports, MEITU has already integrated AI into key scenarios including research and development, design, and operations. The company has also internally launched an "AI Innovation Studio" mechanism, encouraging employees to form ultra-small teams using company resources to turn product concepts into reality.
