South Korea Plans Emergency Bond Buybacks as Yields Surge

South Korea's Finance Minister Lee Hyung-il said during a cabinet meeting that the country will immediately implement market stabilization measures, including emergency buybacks of government bonds, if yields rise excessively.
Lee stated that bond yields have continued to climb amid rising global interest rates.
