At a Xu Song concert in Luoyang, Henan, a mother holding her child was randomly selected for an on-stage interaction. When asked about herself, she proudly announced, "I work at Fat Donglai and I'm on Freedom Leave," instantly drawing cheers from the crowd.

Fat Donglai's official customer service has confirmed that employees with at least one year of service are entitled to 30 days of paid annual leave. Those who have completed their three-month probation period but have been with the company for less than a year receive two days of annual leave per month. As for the 10-day "Freedom Leave," it is available immediately upon joining the company. All of the above leave days can be scheduled at the employee's own discretion, with the HR system providing automatic approval — no manager sign-off is required.

In a further show of care, on June 22, Fat Donglai founder Yu Donglai announced via his personal social media account that the company is researching even more humanized paid leave policies. Under the proposed framework, if an employee's spouse or child passes away unexpectedly, the employee would be entitled to one year of paid leave. For the passing of a parent or parent-in-law, one month of paid leave would be granted.
