The State Administration for Market Regulation and the Ministry of Education have jointly released the inaugural list of national pilot projects for integrating specialized and standardized education. A total of 281 projects from 253 higher education institutions across the country were selected. Sichuan province contributed 13 projects, involving 11 institutions.
The pilot program aims to deeply integrate the "soft power" of standardized education with the "hard industries" of advanced manufacturing. It covers key sectors and public welfare fields such as artificial intelligence, materials science, aerospace, measurement and control technology, and electrical engineering. The program adopts two training models: public education and specialized education, with durations ranging from two to four years.
In Sichuan, the 13 selected education integration pilot projects involve collaboration with provincial research institutions, industry associations, and leading enterprises in the field of standardization. A total of 14 organizations are participating, forming a cooperative talent development model described as "institutions + research bodies + industry leaders." This approach is designed to help Sichuan's higher education institutions better align with industrial development needs, jointly cultivate professionals with both specialized expertise and standardized knowledge and skills, effectively alleviate talent shortages in critical sectors, and lay a solid talent foundation for advancing Sichuan's new quality productive forces.
