CAE Inc (NYSE: CAE, TSX: CAE) and Saab have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on advanced training, simulation, and mission support solutions for the Gripen fighter jet, contingent on the Canadian government selecting the Gripen as its future fighter capability platform.

According to the memorandum, if Canada chooses the Gripen, CAE will assist in establishing and operating a domestic Canadian training system for Gripen pilots and technicians. This will encompass pilot and technical training, simulator operations, and subsequent support services.

The two parties will also explore opportunities for collaboration on mission system development, next-generation capability research, and potential international market opportunities related to the Gripen fighter.
