CISI FIN boosts fixed-income portfolio with US$15.00 million purchase of Mitsubishi Corp 5.125% 2036 notes

China Industrial Securities International Financial Group Limited (CISI FIN) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, CISI Investment Limited, has accumulated an additional US$5.00 million principal amount of Mitsubishi Corporation’s 5.125% senior notes due 23 June 2036. The latest trade, executed on 6 July 2026 via open-market brokers, was settled at approximately US$4.97 million (HK$39.04 million).

Including three earlier tranches acquired on 15–17 June 2026, CISI FIN now holds a total of US$15.00 million (HK$117.75 million) in principal of the Mitsubishi notes, secured for an aggregate consideration of US$14.95 million (HK$117.38 million). Funding was provided entirely by internal resources.

Regulatory position: When assessed together with the earlier tranches, one of the applicable percentage ratios under Hong Kong’s Listing Rule 14.07 exceeds 5% but remains below 25%. The series of transactions is therefore classified as a discloseable transaction, triggering announcement and reporting obligations without requiring shareholder approval.

Strategic rationale: Management stated the purchases align with CISI FIN’s strategy to enhance portfolio diversification and secure stable, risk-moderate returns across multiple asset classes, including bonds, equities, funds and structured products.
