Shangri-La Hotels (Malaysia) Berhad reports higher first-quarter profit on improved revenue

Shangri-La Hotels (Malaysia) Berhad (SHANG) announced unaudited results for the quarter ended Mar, 31 2026, posting revenue of about 40.0 million Singapore dollars, up from roughly 38.6 million Singapore dollars in the same period last year.

The group generated profit before tax of approximately 6.6 million Singapore dollars, compared with 5.4 million Singapore dollars a year earlier. Net profit rose to around 4.8 million Singapore dollars from 3.8 million Singapore dollars, while profit attributable to ordinary equity holders increased to about 4.3 million Singapore dollars from 3.3 million Singapore dollars.

Basic earnings per share improved to 3.37 sen, versus 2.62 sen in the prior-year quarter. No interim dividend was declared for the period.

As at Mar, 31 2026, net assets per share stood at roughly 0.53 Singapore dollars, up from 0.52 Singapore dollars at the end of the previous financial year.
