On October 11th, CIMC ENRIC Holdings Limited announced that its subsidiary Nantong CIMC Pacific Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. (CIMC Pacific Marine Engineering) has recently signed contracts for LNG bunkering vessels with two clients. The company secured a contract with Singapore shipowner Purus for 2 vessels of 18,900 cubic meters capacity, and signed a 2+2 vessel construction contract with GSX Energy for 20,000 cubic meter LNG bunkering ships.

CIMC Pacific Marine Engineering signed the construction contract with Singapore shipowner Purus for 2 LNG bunkering vessels with 18,900 cubic meters capacity. These vessels will be chartered to Shell to support the expansion of its LNG bunkering capabilities. Upon delivery, the vessels will effectively strengthen Shell's LNG bunkering network coverage in Singapore, Europe, and other key global ports, facilitating more ships to transition from traditional fuels to clean energy.

According to reports, these new vessel designs maintain an overall length under 140 meters and are equipped with 2 IMO Type C storage tanks. The high-pressure storage design significantly enhances operational flexibility and economic efficiency of the vessels. They feature ultra-low methane slip engines and high-voltage shore power systems, which can substantially reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout their lifecycle.

To achieve excellent maneuverability for these LNG bunkering vessels, CIMC Pacific Marine Engineering's R&D team developed a dual-fuel diesel-electric propulsion solution, including shortened hull length, two high-power bow thrusters, and specifically optimized hull lines to significantly improve operational efficiency under low-speed, short-voyage conditions.

With the signing of these 4 LNG bunkering vessel orders, CIMC ENRIC's LNG bunkering vessel business segment revenue is expected to reach new heights in 2025. In the first half of 2025, CIMC ENRIC has already delivered 9 marine vessels, with plans to deliver 18 vessels for the full year. As of the end of the third quarter, the total value of new orders signed for the year exceeded 8 billion RMB.
