UBS AG Raises Stake to 7.46% in Guotai Junan International Through Targeted Share Purchases

Guotai Junan International Holdings Ltd. disclosed fresh share dealings executed by UBS AG on 30 September 2026 under Rule 22 of the Hong Kong Code on Takeovers and Mergers, linked to the group’s planned privatisation via a scheme of arrangement.

UBS AG, identified as a Class (6) associate of the offeree company, completed four on-market transactions in Guotai Junan International shares for its proprietary account: • Purchases: 2.44 million shares at HK$2.9048 each and 48,000 shares at HK$2.9050 each. • Sale: 202,000 shares at HK$2.9050 each. • Purchase: 1,000 shares at HK$2.9031.

Following these trades, UBS AG’s aggregate holding in Guotai Junan International increased to 710.82 million shares, representing approximately 7.46% of the company’s issued share capital.

The disclosure forms part of the ongoing privatisation process of Guotai Junan International, conducted by way of a scheme of arrangement, for which the Securities and Futures Commission’s Executive has been receiving and publishing associates’ dealing reports.
