TENCENT's Honor of Kings World Sets April 17 Mobile Launch with Pre-Download Starting Two Days Earlier

TENCENT's gaming division has announced that the mobile version of Honor of Kings World will officially launch on Friday, April 17. Pre-download for the mobile platform will begin on Wednesday, April 15, at 8:00 AM. The PC version of the game was released earlier on April 10, featuring cross-platform compatibility that allows players to seamlessly continue their game progress across different devices. This open-world RPG builds upon the IP, Eastern fantasy theme, and world setting of the MOBA title Honor of Kings, expanding the fragmented continent into a fully explorable open world. Observers note that while veteran Honor of Kings players are focused on how familiar heroes will embark on new adventures in the open-world setting, non-MOBA players are approaching the game with expectations of exploring a fresh universe. There is significant discussion about whether this release can set a new benchmark for domestically developed open-world games.
