The European Commission announced on Tuesday that it has approved Italian luxury group PRADA's acquisition of Versace fashion group.
Earlier this year, PRADA reached an agreement with Capri Holdings to acquire the relatively smaller competitor Versace for $1.38 billion.
The European Commission stated that this acquisition will not raise competition concerns.
