From July 29 to 31, the "Meet at the 16th Games, Paint a New Future - Baotou Interview Tour (Phase II)" event was held in Baotou City. A delegation of journalists from central, regional, and municipal mainstream media visited competition venues, city landmarks, and industrial parks, documenting in detail how Baotou is leveraging the hosting of the 16th Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Games and the 7th Paralympic Games and Special Olympics to promote urban development and quality improvement.

Inside the Baotou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, badminton matches for the Inner Mongolia 16th Games were in full swing. On the court, athletes fought fiercely, with the sounds of racket strikes and cheers from the sidelines creating a palpable competitive atmosphere. Over three days, the press delegation covered table tennis, football, and 3x3 basketball events of the Games, as well as the "2026 Third Fluorine Industry Green Development and Innovation Conference" and the Third Baotou Art Expo. They also visited Baotou Aluminum Co., Ltd., Baotou Sheng Tai Auto Parts Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the Baotou Rare Earth Motor Industrial Park, Inner Mongolia Guochuang Rare Products Technology Co., Ltd. in the high-tech industrial park, the Guyang County Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Industrial Park, and the Qin Great Wall National Cultural Park. These visits focused on enterprise innovation, industrial transformation and upgrading, and the integration of agriculture, culture, sports, and tourism, presenting a multi-dimensional view of Baotou's achievements in urban renewal, civilization building, and integrated cultural, tourism, and sports development.

The 16th Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Games and the 7th Paralympic Games and Special Olympics are about to open in Baotou, with all preparatory work now in the final sprint stage. During the event period, Baotou is deeply promoting a two-way empowerment between the games and urban development. The city will launch 4 characteristic scenarios and 25 key integrated activities spanning agriculture, culture, sports, tourism, and commerce. This will ensure activities and attractions are available around the clock, both inside and outside the venues, and across urban and rural areas. Over 10 high-quality tourism routes will be introduced to guide visitors from a "single-day event trip" to a "multi-day in-depth tour." Additionally, a series of visitor-friendly measures will be rolled out, including free tickets to scenic spots, travel subsidies, shopping discounts, accommodation deals, and direct shuttle buses to attractions, multi-dimensionally reducing travel and consumption costs for citizens and tourists.
