QINGCI GAMES (06633) announced its interim results for 2025, achieving revenue of approximately RMB 247 million and gross profit of approximately RMB 154 million. The company recorded net profit of RMB 72.67 million during the period, representing a 90.2% increase from RMB 38.2 million in the same period last year, demonstrating continued improvement in profitability. As of June 30, 2025, the group operates multiple mobile APP games covering idle games, Rogue-like RPG and other RPG genres, as well as mini-program games.
According to the announcement, the net profit growth was primarily attributed to the group's efficient management operations and cost control, with marketing expenses and other costs significantly reduced compared to the same period last year, as well as substantial increases in foreign exchange gains due to positive exchange rate fluctuations and the group's effective foreign exchange management measures.
Regarding gaming operational data: As of June 30, 2025, the group's cumulative registered players exceeded 100 million, up 7.56% year-on-year; monthly average active users numbered approximately 1.144 million, monthly average paying users reached approximately 140,600, and ARPPU was RMB 289.79, representing a 5.26% year-on-year increase. The changes in gaming operational data were mainly due to some games entering mature phases, resulting in declining active and paying user numbers, while the group attracted new player registrations and returning veteran players through launching new game versions and optimizing game content, simultaneously enhancing user willingness to make in-game purchases.
During the reporting period, the group achieved remarkable results in several key areas:
(1) Outstanding long-term operational effectiveness with core games revitalized: In June 2025, the flagship self-developed game "The Strongest Snail" celebrated its fifth anniversary since launching in mainland China and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan regions. Through introducing new anniversary versions and optimizing game content, the company successfully attracted substantial numbers of returning veteran players and significantly enhanced user payment willingness. During the anniversary celebration, the game's ARPPU surged from approximately RMB 200 to nearly RMB 300, an increase of about 50%, fully demonstrating the group's exceptional capabilities in game content innovation and long-term operations.
(2) Steady advancement in global expansion with further overseas market penetration: Following success in multiple overseas markets, the group is actively preparing for the launch of the Korean version of "The Strongest Snail," expected to officially debut in the second half of 2025, further enhancing the group's influence in core markets. Overseas distribution of "Cardcaptor Sakura: Memory Key" in Vietnam and Japan is also in preparation. The continued expansion of overseas business will provide more diversified and stable momentum for the group's revenue growth.
(3) Focused R&D pipeline breakthroughs with solid foundation for future growth: The group's strategic self-developed major title "Project E" is progressing smoothly in development and recently launched "Planck Testing" targeting core players. Through player interaction, the company is accelerating game development iteration cycles. This game integrates innovative gameplay elements including map exploration, inventory management, and resource collection, and is expected to become the group's next milestone product, accumulating powerful momentum for future transformative development. Additionally, the group continues optimizing R&D processes and fully embracing emerging technologies such as AI to further enhance development efficiency and product quality.
