SA SA International Shares Surge Over 8% After Strong Annual Results and Dividend Announcement

SA SA INT'L (HKEX: 00178) shares surged more than 8% in afternoon trading on Tuesday. At the time of writing, the stock was up 8.43% to HK$0.90, with a turnover of approximately HK$11.83 million.

The rally followed the company's release of its annual results for the period ended March 31, 2026. The group reported revenue from continuing operations of HK$4.383 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.16%. Profit attributable to shareholders reached HK$200.5 million, a significant rise of 160.47% compared to the previous year. Basic earnings per share stood at 6.5 HK cents.

The board has proposed a final dividend of 3.4 HK cents per share, along with a special final dividend of 1.9 HK cents per share. Combined with the interim dividend of 1.15 HK cents per share already distributed, the total dividend for the full year amounts to 6.45 HK cents per share. This total payout is equivalent to approximately 100.0% of the group's profit for the year.

In its announcement, the company noted that its Hong Kong and Macau operations saw year-on-year growth across several key metrics, including turnover, same-store sales, number of transactions, average transaction value, and the number of items per transaction. The group maintained robust growth momentum in the first quarter of the 2026/27 fiscal year, with the pace of growth accelerating.

Looking ahead, the company plans to continue expanding its store network. It expects to open six to seven new stores in Hong Kong and Macau during the first half of the new fiscal year to meet market demand.
