On October 8, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning chaired a regular press conference. A Reuters journalist asked about US cybersecurity company CrowdStrike's accusation that Chinese individuals and related entities used AI tools to attack South Korean financial institutions.

Mao Ning stated, "I am not aware of the specific situation you mentioned. As a matter of principle, China has always opposed and cracked down on hacking activities in accordance with the law, and we especially oppose the dissemination of false information for political purposes."

She added that artificial intelligence has a profound impact on cybersecurity, and the international community should strengthen cooperation and dialogue, formulate new international rules, and jointly safeguard cybersecurity.
