CIRC (01763) announced that on November 17, 2025, local time, the company formally signed a contract with a Peruvian client in Lima for an agricultural gamma irradiation station project. Under the agreement, CIRC will provide specialized gamma irradiation equipment along with a comprehensive solution for irradiation cobalt sources. Once operational, the facility will primarily be used for the irradiation treatment of agricultural products, aiming to enhance sterilization efficiency, extend shelf life, and improve the export quality and market competitiveness of Peru's specialty agricultural products.

As a "small yet impactful" nuclear technology application project under the Belt and Road Initiative, the irradiation station aligns with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s "Atoms for Food" initiative, contributing to food security and sustainable agricultural development. The implementation of this project will further strengthen practical cooperation between China and Peru in the field of nuclear technology applications while expanding new opportunities for China's nuclear technology to go global.
