China Re (01508) Schedules EGM for 26 March 2026 to Elect New Non-Executive Director

China Reinsurance (Group) Corporation (Stock Code: 01508) has announced that it will convene its first Extraordinary General Meeting of 2026 on 26 March 2026 at 9:30 a.m., at the meeting room on the 24th Floor of the China Re Building in Beijing. Shareholders whose names appear on the register by 20 March 2026 at 4:30 p.m. will be eligible to vote.

The meeting will address the election of Lyu Zhi as a Non-Executive Director for the company’s fifth session of the Board of Directors. According to the circular, his term will commence upon approval by the National Financial Regulatory Administration and conclude at the end of the fifth session’s term. He has previously worked as a senior manager at China Investment Junyi Asset Management Co., Ltd., a managing director of China Investment Corporation, and served in various leadership roles at Schlumberger Limited. As stated, he does not hold any direct or indirect interest in the company’s shares and will not receive any director’s remuneration from China Reinsurance (Group) Corporation during his tenure.

Transfer of shares will be suspended from 23 March 2026 to 26 March 2026 (both days inclusive) for attendance eligibility verification. Shareholders intending to appoint proxies should submit the relevant documents no less than 24 hours before the start of the EGM. Completion of proxy forms does not preclude personal attendance at the meeting.
