On September 18, the launch ceremony for the "Rural Red" public welfare brand, part of Qingyuan's town and village cluster initiative, was held at the Party-Mass Service Center in Banlang Village, Sankeng Town. Lin Bin, Party Secretary and Executive Vice President of the Provincial Red Cross Society, Huang Jianping, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, and district leaders Wan Xiaoyang and Chen Jianqiang attended the event.

During the ceremony, caring enterprises made on-site donations to support the implementation of the public welfare projects. The Qingyuan Red Cross Life Education Volunteer Lecture Group was officially established, with certificates of appointment presented to its members, marking a significant step forward in bringing life education outreach to grassroots communities and better serving the public.

At the medal and flag presentation segment, seven administrative villages in Sankeng Town, Qingxin District, received plaques and banners, further clarifying their responsibilities and mission in advancing public welfare efforts within the town-village clusters. The event also featured an AED handover ceremony, where Sankeng Town received a batch of automated external defibrillators. These devices will be strategically placed in high-footfall areas such as village community Party-Mass service centers and health stations, adding a critical "first-aid safety net" for residents and taking a substantial step toward comprehensive AED coverage in the pilot zones.

Looking ahead, 2026 marks the key year when the "Hundreds, Thousands, Tens of Thousands Project" transitions from its "initial results in three years" phase to the "significant changes in five years" phase. To foster volunteer services and public welfare development across town-village clusters, the Qingyuan Municipal Headquarters Office for the "Hundreds, Thousands, Tens of Thousands Project" and the Qingyuan Red Cross have decided to roll out the "Rural Red" public welfare project across the city's first batch of provincial-level town-village clusters. The initiative spans nine provincial clusters, covering 8 counties (cities, districts), 21 towns, and 93 villages (communities), benefiting approximately 600,000 grassroots residents.

The project adheres to the principles of "Party building leadership, Red Cross empowerment, services delivered to the grassroots, and tangible benefits for the people." Through four key areas of full coverage—grassroots organizations, Red Cross volunteer services, rescue and first-aid training, and AED deployment—the initiative aims to strengthen residents' safety awareness and self-and-mutual rescue capabilities. It also seeks to balance development with security, consolidate grassroots governance, and build a robust safety foundation for high-quality development in towns and villages, delivering genuine benefits to the public.

The "Rural Red" project will begin with the nine provincial-level clusters as pilot zones, then expand steadily from these points to cover all administrative villages across the city. This phased approach ensures the humanitarian spirit of the Red Cross reaches every corner of Qingyuan, extending protection to more rural areas and residents, accelerating the "Hundreds, Thousands, Tens of Thousands Project," and painting a new picture of safe, harmonious, and livable rural communities.

The event also featured free medical consultation booths, where medical teams from Qingyuan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Qingxin District People's Hospital, and Sankeng Town Health Center provided on-site services. Specialties included cardiology, neurology, cerebrovascular intervention, dentistry, and gynecology, allowing villagers to access high-quality, convenient healthcare right at their doorsteps—a move widely praised by attendees.

The launch of the "Rural Red" brand marks a solid step forward for Qingyuan in advancing town-village cluster development and mobilizing public welfare forces. Going forward, the brand will continue to focus on grassroots needs and community expectations, creating Red Cross public welfare projects with Qingyuan characteristics and injecting greater warmth and vitality into the "Hundreds, Thousands, Tens of Thousands Project."
