Kymera Therapeutics, Inc. (KYMR) experienced a sharp pre-market decline of 7.37% on Thursday. The biopharmaceutical company's stock moved lower ahead of the market open following the release of its latest financial results.
The decline comes after Kymera Therapeutics reported fourth-quarter 2025 results that significantly missed analyst expectations. The company posted a loss of $0.97 per share, falling short of the consensus estimate of a $0.78 loss. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.871 million, a dramatic miss compared to the $14.798 million analysts had anticipated and representing a 61.17% decrease from the same period last year.
Kymera's net loss widened to $86.981 million for the quarter, compared to losses in the prior year period. The company noted that research and development expenses increased due to investment in its STAT6 program and discovery initiatives. Despite the disappointing quarterly results, Kymera ended 2025 with $1.6 billion in cash, cash equivalents and investments, which management stated provides a cash runway into 2029.
